What We Do
The mission of New Life Corporation is to increase the economic success of low and moderate-income families living in greater New Haven through services in workforce development, financial literacy and asset building. Our current programs are: (a) Workforce Development in which we assist individuals seeking employment with workplace skill assessment, job training, search, placement and retention, (b) Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) where we assist undocumented individuals in obtaining an ITIN number from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in order to legally pay their income taxes from their earnings, (c) Financial Education where we counsel families on the pitfalls of predatory and bad credit as well as the benefits of budgeting, credit repair and savings and (d) our Volunteer Individual Tax Assistance program where we assist low-moderate income individuals/families with their income tax preparation and accessing federal income tax credits which they may qualify for due to their low income earnings.
