Who We Are Since 2003, New Life has provided services geared
to help bridge the economic gaps that often prevent
people of moderate means from fully realizing their
economic and professional potential.
So as to better acclimate and inform its clients
as to the nature and shape of today's Job Market,
New Life can refer clients to employment services Job Training
and Placement that are designed to take each client
step by step through the process of creating a resume,
canvassing for work to interviewing and maintaining
steady employment. In addition to its employment services
division, New Life also provides financial
education classes where we assist individuals
in developing personal financial planning and management
skills and engage in activities such as budget management,
opening a checking account and establishment of financial
goals. In 2009 New Life Corporation, the Connecticut
Association for Human Services and three other partners
established the Connecticut Money School www.ctmoney.org,
a statewide financial education program for low-income
and senior residents in Connecticut with the goal
of expanding our local financial education work statewide.
Our ITIN (Individual Tax
Identification Number) program, allows undocumented
residents to fulfill their federal income tax obligations
while our, and VITA (Volunteer
Income Tax Assistance) program , provides hands on
assistance in filing taxes and securing the proper
deductions and credits for low-moderate income individuals
and families through the federal EITC (Earned Income
Tax Credit) program. We now also offer clients the ability to achieve financial security
and to realize their personal and economic potential with our Earn Benefits program, which screens clients for public benefits.
